1. Our commitment

Passivhaus HUB aims to make our websites usable by the widest possible audience. We work toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance wherever feasible.

2. Measures we take

• Semantic HTML5 landmarks and correct heading order.
• Minimum colour‑contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for text and interactive elements.
• Alternative text for all meaningful images and icons.
• Captions for videos; transcripts or audio description where practical.
• Keyboard‑only navigation, “Skip to main content” link, no keyboard traps.
• Option to reduce motion; no flashing content that could trigger seizures.
• Automated checks (axe‑core, Lighthouse) and quarterly manual audits.

3. Conformance status

Current status: partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA (some parts do not yet fully meet the standard).

In Australia, unresolved issues can be escalated to the Australian Human Rights Commission. Users elsewhere may contact their local authority.

7. Assessment approach

• Automated scans on staging & production (axe, WAVE, Lighthouse).
• Quarterly manual keyboard & screen‑reader checks.
• Annual external audit by an independent accessibility consultancy (next audit Feb 2026).
